Lynn Shaw
I love creativity and spiritual wellbeing. Creative pursuits move me emotionally and physically. I thrive on all art forms due to their ability to tell innovative stories. I trained as a dancer originally and went on to programme live theatre and dance productions in the North East of Scotland.
Counselling was a natural progression for me. Through years of working in the arts I was captivated by witnessing the stories of others unfold.
Bold, brave, quiet - it didn't matter to me. I noticed when people started to "own" their stories they transformed. Felt more alive, more seen and more confident - they started to believe in themselves.
Experience
Counselling and therapy was an important part of my own journey when I moved to New Zealand in 2006 and felt lost and aimless. It was then when I came across a small tribe of people similar to me and we embarked on the "Artist Way" by Julia Cameron to recover and discover our creative side.
For the last 12 years I have led group wellbeing workshops and been part of self development retreats. I am currently training to be a holisitc counsellor. I want to help inspire individuals to come home to themselves.
